Top Event Management Companies in the UAE (2026): Who Does What

Searching for the top event management companies in the UAE mostly returns lists written by the agencies on them. That is not a criticism of the genre, but it does mean the order tells you very little. This page does it differently: it names well-known companies, groups them by what each is known for, says where each claim comes from and, where it matters, tells you when you should use none of us.
A disclosure first. We run a private desert camp, so we are one of the companies in this market, and we have listed ourselves in our own category rather than pretend to be neutral. Nobody paid to be on this page, and it is a shortlist, not a ranking: the UAE has far more licensed event companies than any list can hold, and plenty of excellent ones are not named here.
The short version
- There is no official ranking of event companies in the UAE. Licensing bodies issue licences and permits; they do not rank anyone.
- Choose the type of company first (agency, production house, venue operator, destination management company), then compare two or three of that type on the same written brief.
- Every claim in the table below comes from the company's own site or from a named publication, and we say which. Figures are self-reported unless stated.
- Before you sign anyone, ask for the trade licence, a public liability certificate, a named person on site and a reference you call yourself.
A shortlist by what each company is known for
Listed by type of work, not by merit. “Best known for” is what the company says about itself or what a named publication reported, and the source is linked in the last column. Figures were checked against those pages on 19 October 2026.
| Company | Based | Best known for | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mosaic Live | Dubai Media City and Abu Dhabi | Brand activations, corporate and government events, and public entertainment. Its own site cites 1,000+ events delivered and 100+ government and corporate clients. | Mosaic Live |
| Done Events | Dubai | Events agency owned by Arab Media Group. In a 2019 interview it put its corporate events at 400+, and that year it took over the Dubai Jazz Festival from Chillout Productions. | Entrepreneur Middle East |
| Ethara (formed in 2023 from Flash Entertainment and Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management) | Abu Dhabi | Venue management and large live events on Yas Island: Etihad Arena, Etihad Park, Yas Marina Circuit and Yas Conference Centre. The two predecessors reported 700+ major events for 16+ million fans in 15 years, among them the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Yasalam After-Race Concerts and the FIFA Club World Cup. | Gulf News |
| MCI (UAE) | Abu Dhabi and Dubai World Trade Centre | Live and virtual events, strategic communications and consulting, as part of the global MCI Group. Its UAE page cites 500+ meetings organised a year and 20+ countries in the region. | MCI Group |
| Jack Morton | Dubai (EMEA office) | Describes itself as a global experiential marketing agency: event marketing, brand activations, tradeshows and exhibits, and sponsorship consulting. | Jack Morton |
| ADNEC Group | Abu Dhabi | A venue operator rather than an agency. ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi lists 12 column-free halls, 21 meeting rooms and 1,827 hotel rooms on site, and bills Marina Hall as the largest waterside exhibition hall in the MENA region. | ADNEC |
| Dubai World Trade Centre | Dubai | Exhibition organiser and venue operator that calls itself Dubai's epicentre for events and business, with a busy calendar of international exhibitions. | DWTC |
| Sparkling Sandset (us) | Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi | A private desert camp and event producer since 2012: weddings, galas, offsites and brand nights, one booking a day, 500+ events. | Our own site |

The five kinds of company, and when to use each
Most failed procurement rounds come from briefing the wrong type of company, so it helps to know the types before you read a single proposal.
Full-service event agencies
Strategy, creative concept and management of the whole programme, usually with delivery subcontracted. Strong on concept, client management and multi-venue programmes. Use when you need one party accountable for a complex programme across several venues. Watch for how much delivery is subcontracted and whether the agency actively manages the people it hires.
Production houses
Technical delivery: staging, rigging, AV, lighting, power and structures. Often the company actually building the event you attended, under someone else's name. Use when you have your own concept and event manager and need it built properly. They are generally not the right people to design guest experience or run hospitality.
Venue operators
Companies that own or hold a site and deliver events on it: hotels, convention centres, arenas and private desert camps like ours. Use when the venue is central to the brief. The site, the permits, the build standard and the crew sit in one place, which removes the commonest source of late problems. Watch for the obvious: a venue operator will recommend its own venue. See our pages on event management in the UAE, Abu Dhabi and Dubai for how we structure that work.
Destination management companies (DMCs)
Ground handling for inbound groups: transfers, hotels, excursions, restaurants, the whole itinerary. They contract suppliers on your behalf. Use when you are bringing a group into the country and need the whole trip handled, not a single event. Their margin sits on top of supplier pricing, which is fair for the coordination but worth understanding when you compare against a direct quote. We work with DMCs through our partner programme.
Specialist suppliers
Caterers, florists, entertainment agencies, photographers and gifting companies. Deep in one area, and they expect someone above them to run the event. Use when you have a producer and need to fill a gap.
How to shortlist in fifteen minutes
- Write one page. Date, guest count, city, venue (decided or open), budget range, and what a good outcome looks like. Send the same page to everyone.
- Pick two or three of one type from the groups above, plus one outsider if you want a sanity check on price.
- Ask for the paperwork before the proposal: the trade licence, a public liability certificate, and a risk assessment for an event of your kind. A company that runs events properly can send these quickly.
- Ask who files the permit. Be wary of any contract that moves that responsibility to you, because liability follows it. In Abu Dhabi, events are licensed through the Department of Culture and Tourism's Event Licensing System; our guides to Abu Dhabi and Dubai permits explain what a desert event involves in each.
- Ask a question that cannot be answered with a compliment: “What went wrong at the last event like this, and how was it fixed?” Anyone who was on site has an answer.
- Compare line by line, not on the total. The cheapest quote is usually cheapest because something is missing: permits, strike, insurance, an adequate service team or contingency.
Our longer checklist is in how to choose an event company in the UAE: six checks.
When a desert specialist is the right call, and when it is not
A private desert camp is the right answer when the setting is the idea: a wedding, a gala dinner, a leadership offsite, a product launch that needs a backdrop nobody else has. It is the wrong answer for a concert with a ticketing operation, a trade show that needs hall space, a conference with breakout rooms or anything that must sit in the city centre. For those, go to a venue and an agency built for the job. We would rather tell you that at the start than win a brief we should not have.
If the desert is the brief, our corporate events, gala dinners and pricing pages show what we do and what it costs, and the planner sends a structured brief to the team in about a minute.
FAQs
Who is the best event management company in the UAE?
There is no independent ranking, and any list that names one winner is usually a paid placement or the author's own company. The best company depends on the event: a concert, a conference, a trade show and a private desert dinner need different kinds of company. Pick the type first, then compare two or three companies of that type against the same written brief.
Who are the biggest event companies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai?
By venue, ADNEC Group in Abu Dhabi and Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai are the two best-known exhibition and conference operators, and Ethara runs the Yas Island venues, including Etihad Arena and Yas Marina Circuit. Among agencies, Mosaic Live, Done Events, MCI and Jack Morton are established names with offices in the UAE. Size is not the same as fit, so judge each against your own brief.
How much does an event management company charge in the UAE?
Usually a management or agency fee on top of production costs, which are passed through at cost or with a margin. Ask for the fee as its own line, and for build, strike, permits, service staff and contingency to be itemised separately so quotes can be compared line by line.
How do I check that a UAE event company is licensed?
Ask for the trade licence and a public liability certificate, and ask who files the event permit. In Abu Dhabi, events are licensed by the Department of Culture and Tourism, which published an Event Licensing Guide for the emirate in November 2024. In Dubai, public events need a permit from the emirate's tourism and economy authority (the Department of Economy and Tourism, which some organisers still call DTCM), so confirm the current route on its official site.
Should I use an agency, a venue or a production house?
If you have no internal event manager, use an agency or a venue operator that will run the event. If you have your own concept and manager and need it built, use a production house. If the venue is the idea, such as a private desert camp, go straight to the venue operator.
Is Sparkling Sandset one of the top event management companies in the UAE?
We are a venue operator and event producer, specialising in private events at our own desert camp in Al Khatim, Abu Dhabi, since 2012, with 500+ events delivered. We are not a general-purpose agency and we do not claim to be the best at everything: for a concert, a trade show or a multi-venue conference we would point you to a company built for it.
