Staff who work our own events, not agency call-outs

Most of the hostesses, waiters and technicians on our roster have worked our own desert camp events, corporate galas and weddings, which means they arrive already knowing how a Sparkling Sandset run-of-show is structured before they see your specific brief. That matters on jobs where the client is not present to manage staff directly and relies on us to run the floor.

Every crew member on our roster holds a valid UAE work permit under our labour licence or a documented partner agency licence. We do not place undocumented casual labour, which is a real risk in Abu Dhabi's events market and one that falls on the client, not the agency, if labour inspectors visit a site.

How we brief and manage staff on the day

Every booking above ten staff gets a dedicated lead who receives the full run-of-show at least 48 hours ahead, walks the venue before doors open, and runs a briefing with the full team on arrival covering guest flow, dietary flags, VIP list and emergency procedures. Uniforms are confirmed at booking stage, whether that is our standard black-tie service uniform or a client's own branded uniform supplied in advance.

For multi-day contracts, such as a three-day conference or a national day activation, we rotate staff to manage fatigue while keeping a consistent core team who know the site and the client contacts, rather than swapping the whole crew daily.

  • Dedicated on-site lead for bookings above ten staff
  • Pre-shift briefing covering guest flow, VIPs and dietary flags
  • Uniform confirmed at booking, client-branded uniforms supported
  • Rotation planning for multi-day and multi-shift contracts

Booking by role, by shift, or as a full team

Clients book us three ways. Some need a single role filled fast, such as two extra bartenders for a private dinner with three days' notice. Others need a mixed team, such as six hostesses, four waiters and one coordinator for a corporate reception. Larger clients hand us the entire staffing line of a multi-day event, from setup crew through to technicians and a full F&B brigade, and we manage headcount and rostering as one contract.

Rates in the table above are per staff member per shift, and scale down slightly on bookings above twenty staff or contracts running more than three consecutive days. A written quote itemises role, headcount, shift length and any uniform or transport costs before you confirm.

Frequently asked questions

Are your staff on valid work permits?+

Yes. Every staff member on our roster holds a valid UAE work permit either under our own labour licence or a documented partner agency licence. We do not place undocumented casual labour on any booking.

What is the minimum booking for staff?+

There is no fixed minimum headcount, though most bookings are for a minimum four-hour shift. Single-role bookings, such as one bartender for a private dinner, are common and welcome.

Can staff work in languages other than English?+

Yes. We have Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog and French speaking staff on the roster and can prioritise language mix for international guest lists at no extra cost.

How far in advance do we need to book?+

Three to five days for a small team of under ten, and two to three weeks for larger teams above thirty or for events needing specific language or technical skills.

Can you supply staff for events you are not producing?+

Yes. We regularly staff third-party productions and client-managed events where the client or another agency handles the rest of the production.

Do you provide uniforms?+

Yes, standard black-tie service uniform is included in our rate. Client-branded uniforms can be worn if supplied in advance or produced by us for an additional cost.

What happens if a staff member is unwell on event day?+

We hold a standby list for every confirmed booking above five staff and can replace a no-show within one to two hours in Abu Dhabi city, longer for remote desert sites.

Do rates change for overnight or multi-day events?+

Yes, overnight shifts and multi-day contracts carry a different rate structure than the standard shift rates shown, reflecting accommodation and rotation planning. We quote these separately.
